Non-DEHP alternatives
At Hospira, we never stop listening. So when the FDA warned of the risks associated with DEHP,1 we committed significant resources to develop a comprehensive line of cost-effective non-DEHP alternatives.
Improved product packaging
We discovered that our customers shared our commitment to reduce healthcare’s impact on the environment. So we developed more environmentally friendly packaging for all of our specialty injectable pharmaceuticals, which results in less waste. Furthermore, the addition of shelf-ready boxes and elimination of single-dose packaging offer significant opportunities for improving workflow and saving time.
Migrating from ampules to vials
Migrating from ampules to vials has become increasingly common among healthcare facilities. In response to customer demand, and in the interest of enhanced safety and efficiency, Hospira is pursuing that course of action. Vials contain no glass particles, help preserve storage space and allow for easier accounting of vial inventory.
Consolidation of Aminosyn™ (Amino Acid Injection)
At Hospira, we remain committed to our nutritional offerings. To enhance efficacy and streamline inventory management, we consolidated our Aminosyn numbers. We offer a range of Aminosyn I, Aminosyn II and Aminosyn Specialty amino acid solutions to meet your clinical needs.
